PRESS RELEASE – Congratulations on a job well done by the racing team of the St. Lucia Yacht Club Youth Sailing programme who recently participated in the annual Semaine Nautique Schoelcher (Schoelcher Regatta) in Martinique.
The event which was in its 26th year and was held on February 6th to 9th, drew 170 sailors from around neighbouring islands including Cuba and international namely France, Norway, and Switzerland.
The team, made up of Danny Dillion, Jasmine Johnson, Jakob Harrison, Matheo Capasso, and Guillaume Chevrier who competed in the Optimist category and Luc Chevrier in the Laser Radial Category, had 4 great days of sailing in very tough windy conditions.
Danny Dillion successfully attained an overall first place out of a fleet of 40 optimist sailors. Jasmine Johnson finished 23rd, Matheo Capasso- 39th, Jakob Harrison – 35th and Guillaume Chevrier 17th. Luc Chevrier secured a second place finish in the Laser.

Adult sailing courses are also being offered.
