Preliminary results indicate that the earthquake occurred at about 10:49 a.m. and measured 4.3 in magnitude, the Centre revealed on its Facebook page.
The Centre further stated that the earthquake was felt at latitude 14.49 north and longitude 60.37 west, with a depth of 30km.
The earthquake occurred 79KM east of Fort-de-France, Martinique, 84km northeast of Castries, Saint Lucia, and 144km southeast of Roseau, Dominica.
The Centre however cautioned that this is only preliminary data which has not been reviewed by an analyst.
“It was automatically located by a seismological computational system, therefore, it is a preliminary result and this may vary when new additional data are processed,” the Centre noted.
