PRESS RELEASE – Conciliatory discussions between the Management of St. Jude Hospital and the National Workers Union (NWU) will commence at the Department of Labour on Wednesday August 5th, 2015 at 10.00 a.m.

The parties will meet under the Chairmanship of Acting Labour Commissioner Mr. Ray Narcisse.

This development is as a result of a thirty (30) day notice of industrial action at St. Jude Hospital sent out by the National Workers Union. The parties are at loggerheads on an industrial impasse.

Common ground must be found by the parties if we are to avert any form of industrial action at the medical institution.
