PRESS RELEASE – As a demonstration of its proactive and responsible approach in mitigating potential threats to both staff and visitors, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa is collaborating with the Ministry of Health in facilitating the staging of a information dissemination and training seminar on the Ebola virus. The session will be held at 2:00 pm today, Wednesday, 15th
October, 2014 on property. Management is mindful of the growing threat of the Ebola virus and the challenges faced by health authorities in containing the spread of the virus.
It is responsible therefore that we expose our staff to all available training opportunities to enable them to develop the confidence, capacity and competence to identify possible manifestations of the virus and to respond observing prescribed protocols giving priority to personal and guest safety.
The training exercise which will be conducted by Ministry of Health personnel will seek to develop “know how” in identification and handling protocols. Key hotel departments which will be exposed to the training include: Kidz Club; Housekeeping; Front Desk; Pools; Spa; Grounds; Restaurants; Laundry; Safety and Security; and Nursing.
Other interested staff members outside of the targeted departments have also been invited to attend.
