(PRESS RELEASE) – Any notion or hope of gaining royalty in the 2017 SLHTA Football Champions Cup by Royalton United was blown away by Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa Football Team during the competition semi-finals staged on Saturday, 4th, November, 2017 at the Soufriere Mini Stadium.

The defending champions who remain unbeaten into the second year of the competition humbled the Royalton hopefuls who fantasized over victory after opening the score card with two goals within the first ten minutes of the game.

Notwithstanding the initial scare, the Coconut Bay Hard Nuts remained focus and exercised their dominant spirit, first with a come-back goal in the 40th minute of the game. The Hard Nuts football team regrouped within the second half to register two additional goals in the 68th and 85th minute of play.

The goal scorers in Saturday’s semi-finals match were: Dylan Joseph in the first half. The second half goals were scored by Brad Bideau and Lot Nelson respectively.

The semi-finals win by Coconut Bay Hard Nuts Football team was a determined and sensational come-back. The victory confirmed the true quality and class of the champion team from the south.

Coconut Bay Hard Nuts will pair off with St James Club Morgan Bay in the finals scheduled for Saturday 11th, November, 2017 commencing 8:00pm.

Coconut Bay Hard Nuts will spare no effort in stamping its authority and to bring home the championship glory to its rightful home for a second consecutive year.
