Coconut Bay commemorates International Children’s Day

In fulfillment of the vision of its owner Mr. Gary “Butch” Hendrickson that the nation’s children be granted better opportunities to become “more effective citizens”, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa has planned activities today to commemorate International Children’s Day, which is being observed globally on November 20th each year.

The management and staff will today host a representative contingent of children from three (3) learning institutions in the nation’s south. The hotel has invited a party of forty three (43) students and teachers from the St Jude and Lion’s Early Childhood Education Centres and the Vieux Fort Special Education Centre to activities at the property in commemoration of International Children’s Day.

The contingent will be met on arrival by management staff and will be welcomed and addressed by hotel General Manager Mr. Kevin Hughes. Following the brief formal ceremony the visiting party will be accommodated at the Kids Klub where they will be treated and engage in interaction with children who are guest at the hotel. The highlight of the day’s commemoration will the staging of the weekly Rubber Duck Race from which revenue generated will be allocated to the three learning institutions.

The commemoration of International Children’s Day by Coconut Bay Beach Resort & SPA is an expression of a demonstrated commitment to the education and well-being of our nation’s children.
