PRESS RELEASE – In fulfillment of a promise made by owner Gary “Butch” Hendrickson Coconut Bay Beach Resort and SPA has began distribution of learning materials for the second cycle of its annual Cocoland Cares program.
Some seventy one (71) Pre Schools from the south of the island (Soufriere to Dennery) have already received their packages of high quality materials to assist in the learning process at their centres.
On Friday, 19th, September, 2014 it will be the turn of Pre Schools in the northern part of the island to benefit from the Cocoland Cares Learning packages. A total of sixty six (66) Pre Schools in the north will be recipients in this phase of the distribution process. The day will begin with a formal handing over and media briefing at Kiddies Headstart Learning Centre at Barnard Hill, Castries commencing 9:30 am. This will be followed by a centralized distribution of packages to Pre Schools located in Gros Islet, Monchy, Babonneau, La Clery, San Souci, La Pansee and Goodlands. This will mark the second phase of distribution following a similar exercise on Tuesday of this week to twenty (20) Pre Schools within the Castries basin.
The first cycle of the program which was implemented during the months of April and May of this year was greeted with much appreciation and elation by Pre School Administrators. This was manifested by the scores of “Thank You” cards and letters received by the hotel.
The learning material distributed through the Cocoland Cares program will contribute to holistic enhancements through the stimulation and development of motto, social, literacy and language skills development of our nation’s youth and future leaders.
A total of One Hundred and Thirty Seven (137) Pre Schools will benefit from this second cycle of the Cocoland Cares program.
