Clean your house first before you attempt to clean others – Richard Frederick tells SLP
Frederick
Frederick

The following is a statement distributed by Member of Parliament in the Opposition, Richard Frederick, in response to an earlier press release submitted by the Saint Lucia Labour Party

It is noted with interest, how the members of the SLP continue their collaborative effort at attempting to drive me out of the political arena. They have tried incessantly, but ALL attempts have failed.

They a now using a decision, pronounced by one of their former ministers, who sat opposite me in parliament in 2006, from a traffic related matter to further cast aspersions on my character; a matter which is on appeal.

Since when, or is it only now that a traffic accident in whatever shape or form, relates to one’s character? If it does, questions need to be asked about the current prime minister who was involved in one of serious magnitude not too long ago.

Ever since I single handedly defeated the Labour Party, I have been their soft target. I have been under severe political attack from them. I have been able to withstand it through strength from God.

With all those supposedly clever men in the SLP, they ought to realize that I can only be dismissed by the people of Castries Central. On three consecutive occasions, they have reposed faith and confidence in me despite the onslaught on my character.

One would think that in such turbulent times, with such a sluggish economy and with a government that is clueless as it relates to management, the SLP would better spend its time trying to improve the lives of St. Lucians, and deliver on the promised “better days”.

I dare say that I, Richard Frederick, has never stolen monies paid by workers as NIS contributions, I have never worked on behalf of insurance companies but made deals against their interest to collect a cut, Richard Frederick has never been arrested and charged for rape. I have never been incestuously involved with my children. I love my children, I feed and maintain them and do not need a court order for that purpose and I have never fathered any child living with married parents, whereby the husband believed that the child was his until the marriage broke up.

All those persons and others with much more serious transgressions are in the belly of the St Lucia Labour Party. I exhort them to clean up their house before they manifest an attempt to clean others.

    • How you so "Courage", all the shit your uncle doing with tax payers money, misleading to public and poorly representing his constituency likewise St Lucia on the whole. I am not Labour but I am very objective and give Jack his Jacket.... So if was something good and there was evidence of it then fine but it is not because there is no evidence indicating other wise.

  1. Can we please change the type of politics here and for the next generation sake have healthier discussions.I think that Mr Fedrick and Guy Joseph lives too much on "ro ro" style politics.

    • I agree with you on that note but one will know that money and power changes a person. It is hard for a minister to enter office and not get swell headed with the power availability of money that would be at his disposal... while i agree with you on that level, i have to look at possibilities.

  2. This is to show US Lucians that even our courts are politicized.. Remember when the courts release the rulings against the GOV and Regis just before the elections? King said it was strange and radio talk show hosts took him to task .from then I have no trust in our Courts . ALL the judges and magistrates can be bought cause they all are humans like us.

  3. The present Government needs to focus on paying the Public Servants their money. Last negotiations you (Kenny) was matching with CSA on the streets of Castries, you told King to "Bite the bullet and pay the Civil Servants" so what happen to biting a bullet for us this time around since it was good for King. Civil Servants was hard working and all kind of nice things before and now they not good. Kenny leave Richard alone and focus on the HARD working Civil Servants. Richard at this point is not the main issue we have more important issues to focus on.

  6. Both parties have dirty laundry to clean. So why the backbitting? Both sides clean your houses. Thieves, Rapist, Child Molesters, Drugsmen and so many others are found in both parties. If you live in a glass house don't throw stones. Before you politicians start pointing a finger at each other, think about your families you are endangering, think about your own children whose lives you put at stake and think about that wife or girlfriend that you each have that will be get bashed too, do they deserve it???

  7. It is an unfortunate situation to see our politicians on both sides exchanging unkind words with each other, digging out dirt to what should be people's private affairs and even informing on their own relatives. It would really be a great reward as our little country is going through turmoil to see our politicians at this point unite and try to build little "St. Lucia" to be a better nation. Let's stop the backbiting and fight for peace!! To each his own, why don't we give the government a chance to put things right and if at the end of the five years we lucians are dissatisfied the election results will prove who should be elected or re-elected.

  9. Would any of you employ a known thief to deal with your money? Or a known child molester to babysit your children? If your answer is 'No!', then why would you want a man who has broken the law be in a position to MAKE laws? It follows the same principle. If RF was in the UK or the US he could never wear a political hat again. So all the uninformed, hacks, supporters or just plain stupid people, stop talking BS!

  14. And I agree with him to a certain extent, why focus on him because we will never get it out of him. The crime rate is soaring and especially in central Castries area, especially tonight, I can see where just blunt is coming from with her statement, a lot of perpetuation is going on there, we are pretending that we don't know what is going on.

  15. I have to laugh after reading that piece. Rather shocked that a someone took the time to report that.To me, and that is my opinion theses are cheap shot to redirect the attention from Mr. Richard since he have not officially came out to us St Lucia as a minister who represented St Lucians and the members of his constituency, Castries Central with the truth as to why his US VISA was revoked and an explanation for the various charges and allegations on him. That is the part where I say, be a man and stand up and face it.

  16. Another thing, Richard, you must be a mango tree full of ripe fruits, since they're always throwing stones at you. Don't come down to their level. Stay on top of things. We need fresh elections!

  17. Richard, you are right. By the way, I enjoyed learning all of those soaps! Better than what's on TV. Seriously, Richard, you and Allen, Spider, and Guy Joseph should be packing on pressure on the Lay-bars! Call for fresh elections!
We want our peace, joy and country back! Make noise, fellas. Make noise.
