PRESS RELEASE – This Friday August 7th 2015 the St Lucia Civil Service Co-operative Credit Union Ltd will add 20 scholars to the list of over 60 students being supported through their Secondary School education by the Credit Union.
These 20 children of members performed well above average at the 2015 Common Entrance exam earning marks ranging downward from 96.67%.
Annually, the Civil Service Credit Union rewards excellent performance on the Common Entrance Exam by granting awards to cover the cost of attending secondary school for the 5 years including the payment of a transport allowance.
The awardees who are set to begin their Secondary School education in September, will be attending the St Joseph’s Convent, St Mary’s College, Castries Comprehensive, Vieux Fort Comprehensive, Leon Hess Secondary and Entrepot Schools. Annually the Credit Union sets aside over EC $110, 000 of its budget for its Education & Scholarship Assistance Programme.
The ceremony to recognize the awardees will be held on Friday August 7th from 10:00am in the Boardroom of the Civil Service Co-operative Credit Union Ltd witnessed by their parents, members of the Board of Directors, volunteers and staff of the institution.
The St Lucia Civil Service Co-operative Credit Union Ltd would also like to remind members that scholarships are also available for students planning to attend the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College for the 2016 – 2017 academic year.
