Chocolate/Cocoa Recipe Competition

capture-20150808-141503PRESS RELEASE – The Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative Industries and the Saint Lucia Hotel & Tourism Association have collaborated on a Chocolate / Cocoa Recipe Competition in observance of Chocolate Heritage Month 2015.

The month of August was branded with this theme by the Saint Lucia Tourist Board (SLTB) as a means of integrating the use of cocoa related products into marketing strategy for Saint Lucia.

The competition is open to ALL interested persons. Applicants are invited to submit creative and original recipes in four categories (Appetizer, Entrée, Dessert, and Beverage) where the base ingredients are locally grown cocoa and chocolate. The use of other local ingredients is also encouraged.

The top two (2) recipes in each category will compete in a Culinary Cook-Off at the annual Rhythm & Spice Festival, scheduled for November 1, 2015.

Registration forms for the Chocolate / Cocoa Recipe Competition are available at the Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative Industries, 3rd Fl, Sir Stanislas James Bldg, Waterfront.

The forms can also be downloaded on the SLHTA’s website at . Deadline for submission of entries is Tuesday 25th August, 2015.

The Ministry of Tourism and the SLTHA takes this opportunity to encourage as many persons as possible to register and showcase their culinary skills.
