(PRESS RELEASE) – The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in conjunction with the Ministry of Health has convened two meetings to discuss the way forward as it relates to Surviving the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
As the nation is undoubtedly aware, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is now an actual impending threat. The conversation has now transitioned to, when will our nation be impacted and more importantly, what measures are we putting in place to minimize its impact.
The approach and actions of the Business Community, of Employers, will be critical to a rational, informed, strategic and integrated response that will help reduce the impact and assist in impeding the spread of the disease.
Members of the Business Community are therefore strongly urged to be part of the conversation with the Ministry of Health, “Preparing Your Business to Survive COVID-19 – the Coronavirus”. The First meeting will be held on Monday 9th March, 2020 from 3:30PM to 4:30PM at the Golden Palm Conference Centre in the Al-Fiona Plaza, Rodney Heights, Gros Islet. The Second targets the south of the island, and will be held on Wednesday 11th March, 2020 from 4:00PM – 5:00PM at the National Skills Development Centre in Vieux Fort.
Dr. Sharon Belmar – George, Chief Medical Officer of the Government of St. Lucia, and her expert team from the Ministry of Health will be in attendance to share with the Business Community, vital information and highly effective tips on how to protect staff, customers and your business from the ravage of this disease.
