The first match was between under-13 teams, Parrots and Blackbirds.
Batting first, Parrots scored 150/3 in 20 overs. Captain Sacchin Joshua Cepal top scored with 31 not out. Kervon Donai added 29 not out and Akeem Auguste 21.
In their reply, Blackbirds were all out for just 75 with only the captain Jaden Elibox offering any resistance.
Bowling for Parrots, Akeem Auguste bagged three wickets, Gerald Moise two, as the Parrots won by 75 runs.
The under 17 contest between Sardines and Kingfish was a high-powered one, with both teams boasting young national players, Windward Island players and one team featuring a West Indies Under-15 player.
Batting first, Sardines were bowled out for 116 in 19.1 overs. Vern Gabriel set the inning alive with a brisk, entertaining knock of 75. Bowling for Kingfish, Dhan-Raj Chaz Cepal took five wickets. For six runs. In 2.1 overs.
Kingfish powered their way to the target of 117 in just 13 overs, losing only three wickets. Kimani Sexius top scored with 45. Chaz Cepal added 30. And West Indies Under-15 player Johnel Eugene contributed 21 not out.
