Celestial Self Development Centre launches partnership with Education for Advancement

educationPRESS RELEASE – Celestial Self Development Centre(CSDC)  a duly registered company engaged in the offering of consultancy services and soft skills training and mentoring to individuals and to the private and public sectors in Saint Lucia and the wider Caribbean region launched a partnership with Education for Advancement (EFA) a US based organization in January of 2015.

Through this partnership EFA with support from CSDC is able to provide a range of value added services that will complement the student learning experience with the University of Derby, Ashworth College and American Public University, amongst others through Online Learning. All courses offered through these Universities are accredited by International Accreditation Institutions such as Royal Charter (United Kingdom), Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (USA) and Distance Education Training Council (USA). These Universities are also recognized by the Ministry of Education of Saint Lucia.

As a result of this alliance residents of Saint Lucia are able to take advantage of a wide range of affordable courses at Diploma/Certificate, Bachelor’s, Masters and PhD/DSoc levels which are available from these partner universities. We are indeed quite pleased with the level of success thus far. Since the partnership was established over 100 students have enrolled in the programs.

Some of the more popular areas of study available are Hospitality, Nursing Studies, Management, Information Technology, Finance, and Education. Diplomas are also available for career courses in professions such as Carpentry, Child Care Provider, Computer Programming, Dental office assistant, Diesel Mechanic, Event Planning and much more.

In keeping with our mandate of identify and exposing students to the online programs and facilities that are available for registration, tuition support, and where needed access to available sources of finance, we have hosted a range of public and private forums with individuals and organizations.

We will continue our efforts in this regard by hosting Mr. John Evans, President of EFA during the period April 25th- 28th, 2016. During his visit Mr.  John Evans will meet with existing and potential students, a number of business leaders and human resource managers and heads of statutory corporations as well as members of the public.

To this end we will host one meeting in the Castries City Town Hall for existing and potential students on Monday April 25, 2016 from 5pm and another in the South of the island at the Vieux Fort Town Hall on Wednesday April 27, 2016 from 5pm. This is to apprise them of the online programs and facilities available as well as to discuss ways in which we could support their staff development and training programs.
