PRESS RELEASE – The second edition of the Limacol Caribbean Premier League is all set to get underway, with six teams playing a total of 30 games between Friday, July 11 and Sunday, August 17 with a mix of morning, evening and afternoon starts.
Grenada will host the first three matches before the tournament visits Antigua, Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and St Kitts-Nevis where the finals will be held.
LIME TV customers will be able to catch all the action live on HTS channel 34 from the first ball at 2 p.m. Friday when Guyana Amazon Warriors take on the Antigua Hawksbills.
Saint Lucia Zouks, captained by Darren Sammy, get their campaign underway on Saturday, July 12 against reigning champions, Jamaica Tallawahs, captained by Chris Gayle. That game will be preceded by a 10:30 a.m. start for Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel and Barbados Tridents.
This year one of the biggest additions to the Limacol Caribbean Premier League is former England allrounder Kevin Pietersen. Fans will be thrilled to see him turn out for the Zouks alongside West Indies T20 captain Sammy.
The tournament heads to Saint Lucia where three games will be played at Beausejour Stadium from July 31 to August 3, but until then, LIME TV fans in Saint Lucia will be getting in the game with wall-to-wall live television coverage.
