PRESS RELEASE – The Castries Lions joined by the Leos, friends and family, spent time on Christmas Day serving Christmas lunch to the homeless in the Castries Environs as well as the residents of the Saint Lucy’s Home for the elderly.
This is an annual activity where each lion is expected to contribute a part of his/her Christmas lunch.
This year at the RC Boys School over 130 persons were served a hot meal, dessert and a drink. The forty-five residents at the Saint Lucy’s home were likewise served the same.
In addition, this year lunch was also served to the thirteen residents at the Mother Theresa Home for the Elderly at Hospital Road and the thirty or so Residents at the Corner Stone half-way house.
We say a big thank you to our many friends who contributed to making this activity the success that it was this year including, staff of Bank of Saint Lucia, Frank B Armstrong, Thaddeus Antoine and Company, The Reduit Football Club,our many friends and family and our Lions and Leos.
