PRESS RELEASE – The Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation (TTKF) wish to congratulate Sensei John Ramirez ( Trinidad and Tobago) and Sensei Paul Clery ( St.Lucia) on their elevation to 4th Degree Black Belt in Shito-Ryu karate.

There grades was issued by Bassai Karate Dojo -International ( BKD-I) and recorded in the Black Belt Registrar of the World United Karate Organizations ( WUKO).

They are both senior students of Sensei Darryl Williams, 7th Dan.

  1. In jeet kune do this is exactly what Bruce Lee taught.If your foot is planted firmly that restricts your movement so there is no hip rotation which results in A weak punch.Back heel up increased hip rotation more power.

In my opinion kata although beneficial is not the mainstay of A good martial artist.Bruce lee discovered that early so he gravitated toward A more practical and ecclectic approach to martial arts resulting in a powerful art form jeet kune do.Kudos to the sensei for his achievement..Each person has to travel along his own martial arts journey.
