CARIBBEAN: Man charged for attempted murder in Dominica

DOMINICA NEWS ONLINE – Thirty-year-old Mandella Gordon of Goodwill has been charged for the attempted murder of another man.

The incident took place in the vicinity of the Newtown Savannah on Saturday 31st October 2015 at about 6:00 am, according to the police.

According to Sergeant Pelham Jno Baptiste, of the Police Public Relations Committee, the police responded to a report of disorderly conduct at Newtown and upon arrival Dean Mitchel of Newtown was found with many serious wounds to his head and hands.

Mitchel was taken to the Princes Margaret Hospital (PMH) where he was examined by a medical doctor and admitted.

On Monday 2nd November 2015, Gordon was arrested and charged with the attempted murder of Mitchel.
