The response to her story has been overwhelmingly positive, with people expressing admiration for her courage.

She wrote: “Presently I am HIV positive. After breaking up with my boyfriend in 2012 I met (name of the man given) who to me seemed to be cool and fun to hang out with. We started talking on phone for a while then he invited me to watch a movie at Trincity Mall”.

The woman wrote that after the movie they were seeking transport for her to go to her home, but then the man instead offered to hire a taxi.

She said what happened next appeared to be a plot to get her to have sexual intercourse with him.

“The driver of the vehicle was his friend. On my way to Malabar (he) got an emergency phone call and told me he wanted me to reach Valencia with him and he would drop me home right after. I was a bit two-minded but I told myself he was so nice to me so far”, she wrote.

She said the driver stopped in front of a house, and upon the man’s request she got out of the vehicle.
