(SNO) — Castries Comprehensive Secondary School (CCSS) and St. Joseph’s Convent (SJC) dominated the Inter Sec Table Tennis Championships, held earlier this month at the Castries Table Tennis Centre, behind command performances from De’Andre Calderon and Zarianne Anthony.

Calderon retained the boys singles title, whilst teammate Ishmel Moise placed second, with Babonneau Secondary’s Kenneth John and Nate John, third.

In doubles action, CCSS (Calderon and Moise) make light work of all their opponents to retain their title. Corinth Secondary School’s Saneil Bernard and Maxx William finished second, whilst CCSS’s Shernan Jankie and Colvin Paul finished third.

Anthony led an all-SJC podium in singles competition, taking her second title in three years, over teammates Juelle St. Claire, Angelique Richardson, and Lenore Adjodha.

The girls doubles event saw Anthony and Mia George retaining their title without dropping a set. Adjodha and Aviona Edmund, also from SJC, finished second whilst a mixed pair, SJC’s Angelique Richardson and Babonneau’s Giselle McGowan, finished third.

The mixed doubles event saw Calderon and Anthony defeating Moise and George, whilst Nate John and Adjodha placing third.

Anthony was named female MVP, capturing gold in the team event, girls doubles, mixed doubles, and girls singles. Calderon mirrored her feat and was named male MVP.
