The Cabinet of Ministers will spend the next two days at a retreat reviewing its governance of the country in the past year.
The retreat will be held at the Coconut Bay Resort and Spa in Vieux-Fort.
The objective of the retreat is to assess the work of the government and to set priorities for the ensuing year.
Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony is hopeful that the retreat will provide an avenue for the Cabinet and other contributors to offer views on the work of government during the last year and provide guidance on the policy direction for the future.
While the last year has been met with both challenges and successes, the prime minister believes that the improvements to the general image of the government and country have played a key role in some of the strides made thus far. It is the prime minister’s view that avenues such as these give new insight into each minister’s overview of his/her ministry and how the team can work together to improve the operations of the Cabinet.
The Cabinet of Ministers will end the retreat by attending a service at the Vieux-Fort Catholic Church on Sunday.
