BVI: Man bites off ear in bar brawl, police probe

(BVI NEWS) – The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is reportedly investigating an incident in which a piece of man’s ear was completely bitten off during a brawl.

BVI News understands the incident happened last week at a bar near the Main Street area of Road Town.

Reports are that the now injured man was at the bar in question when a verbal altercation ensued between the bar’s operator and three Caucasian men.

It is reported that the man tried to end the altercation but was attacked.

A fight ensued between him and one of the Caucasians who reportedly bit off the helix of the man’s right ear, sources told BVI News.

The fight ended when other persons intervened. A subsequent report was made to police and the man brought to Peebles Hospital for treatment.

It is said the accused suspect is a South African national who resides in the BVI.
