Blood stains indicating where the male was stabbed.

The Police Information Office has confirmed that the male who was stabbed in Castries city yesterday, Sept. 9 around 5 p.m., is a student of a secondary school in the northern region of the island.

The Office also disclosed that the 15-year-old student is in critical condition and that police are pursuing a suspect.

Eyewitness say the student was stabbed in the neck area opposite Regal Foods in front the Castries Parish Centre.

Blood stains on the sidewalk left a gruesome reminder of what took place.

The motive for the stabbing is not yet clear.

  1. Thank you for your comments.  I think perhaps you may not have seen my first comment when I joined the discussion - I apologies for that, I incorrectly misjudged your intentions/comments.
I don't think anyone can solve the problems in the world or St Lucia,  people have to work together, stop all the arguements (as these get out of hand and can lead to violence, and that leads to sadness),  we must learn how to discuss issues and also to be sympathetic towards those who are hurting.  There are lots of good people everywhere.    I can tell you care about society. Society/life has changed so much over the years.  Hopefully we'll get back on the right track again.  Governments and Councils must look at the issues that urgently need to be addressed and spend money wisely to get things done for the benefit of all.  There are so many horrific and unpleasant situations going on around the world, it is hard to believe we're all on the one planet.  Its a shame because it's our 'home' .

    • Wow I am speechless, it's like you read me like a book. Yes I do care about society especially when they need help and don't realize the opportunities they leg go based on their decisions, and what they are capable of achieving when they put their heads together. Not everyone is perfect but realizing your mistakes makes you somewhat beyond perfect at that point so apology accepted.

  2. Yes - I know it's not just the sidewalk/footpath.  There are many areas which the Government urgently need to spend money for the benefit of St Lucia, the safety of  her people and visitors.  Unfortunately there  isn't an allocation or funds for these important issues.  Tourism is the main industry of the island and that seems to be where everything (main funding etc)  is focussed.  I still feel you should write a letter to The Editor, send a copy to the Government and ask them to comment on line - if your lettet is published on this site.  It will also be an open forum for everyones' opinion.  (and hopefullt not too many arguements).  St Lucia is a beautiful island (I was born and grew up in St Lucia) but like everywhere else the 'virus' of crime is rampant.
But this article is not the place for this discussion.  There's a young man in hospital who was stabbed and he is battling for his life - I hope he makes a good recovery.

    • Yeah I get what you're saying but after these arguments, I realized society just doesn't like being told where they are wrong or being corrected. So then it isn't my job to do this, I was hoping that someone would understand what I was trying to say and do it themselves but that's a rare combination. You're a very understanding person and don't see things from one point of view which makes you different from the others, I like that about you keep it up.

  3. to the person calling themself  'Saint Lucian'.  If you lost a friend or family member in an accident in St Lucia, I am sorry for your loss and please accept my condolences.   May I suggest you write a letter to The Editor or to the Road Safety Department in St Lucia about the fact that St Lucian roads can be dangerous for pedestrians when there are no sidewalks/footpaths for people to walk safely on.  Please don't offend St Lucians, not everyone has the same opportunities in life and the systems vary throughout the world.  Take care of yourself.  PS  i like your 'smilie' - hadn't seen that one before

    • Oh thank you, with all that said you're right but the sidewalk is just an example so it's not just the sidewalk.

  4. To the person calling themself @St Lucians -  clearly you have a problem and are out to cause grief to St Lucians by attempting in your pitiful way to insult St Lucians.  I don't care where you come from and I am glad that you are not St Lucian - St Lucians are a good people, but as is common throughout the planet there are always some bad amongst a good flock.  So why don't you crawl back under the stone from which you emerged with your ugly personality.

  5. First it was us being brutalised in slavery now they convert us to brutalising our own people. Where is the loving and caring in our Black people? Do we hate ourselves so much?
