  1. I just learned that Chef Harry had died! My wife and I stayed at the Green Parrot in 1988 for our honeymoon. Chef Harry was the perfect host, even having us stay at his house on our first night. The hotel was fantastic, the service excellent, and the food was beyond comparison. We will never forget our experience, and we regret not returning. All of this makes me very sad to see what happened to his hotel and why it happened. For all that he did to build up the tourism business in St. Lucia and give people their first jobs in tourism to then be abandoned when he needed help. His legacy literally is in ruins. I saw a news video where someone said that they didn’t do enough for him when he was alive. I guess where all looking at proof of that. Rest In Peace, Chef Harry. You have earned it.

What a steak, and the rest. A distant and heart felt compliment from South Australia. I will be back.

  7. Chef Harry was a good man. He helped a lot people in need. He helped St. Lucia. I am disgusted by the people and especially the government of St. Lucia, for not helping him after the hurricane destroyed his property. He asked for help and was ignored. Instead of helping they ridiculed him! Even at his passing, they are saying negative things about him. Growing up, people were kind and helpful to one another. Now they are MEAN and HEARTLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder the country is falling apart. God help SLU! Chef Harry, I raise my glass to you. You are in a better place now, better than SLU

  14. Anonymous, I worked there from 91-94. Were u still there? My nickname was princess. RIP Chef. I Know he had his flaws, but who doesn't. It is not my place to judge him. One thing is certain, this was one of my most memorable and fun jobs. He truly was generously and gave constantly to the needy.
