



St. Lucia are the champions of the OECS/ECCB Under-23 Netball Championships.
Team St. Lucia defeated St. Vincent & the Grenadines 52-46 in the final on Tuesday night (July 1) at the Beasejour Indoor Facility in Gros Islet.
The other teams in the competition were Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts, Dominica, Grenada, and Montserrat.
The championship game ended with St. Lucia scoring St. Lucia 52 and the St Vincent and the Grenadines 46.
St. Lucia’s Goal Attack Iyanna Hippolyte had 51 attempts and scored 43 goals. She was voted the tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP).
St. Vincent’s goal shooter had 53 attempts and 40 goals scored.

First Quarter – St. Lucia had a 1 point lead 11-12
Second quarter score – St. Lucia 26 – St Vincent 20;
Third quarter – 31 – 40 in favor of St Lucia
Final Score – 46 St Vincent – 52 St. Lucia
