  1. Hmmm.... So one is suppose to watch his neighbour being robbed at gunpoint and do
Nothing? Or Allow a thief to enter and take whatever he has worked for again and again do Nothing.
These sentiments truly fuel the crime situation.

It seems the law abiding citizens of this country has lost their rights to earn and live in peace.

  9. The same thing I have been saying over and over again and again. Why are people carrying guns in the state of St Lucia? Where are these people getting the guns from in the first place? People; Guns destroy lives. Yes they do. It reminds me of that song 'This one have a gun and that one have a gun- now they shooting each other for fun.'Looks like what is happening in SLU, not sorry to say.

Just last year there was an incident where a young man lost his life to gunfire by a man in Soufriere. He was licensed according to reports. Last weekend another licensed firearms holder shot at a young man during an attempted robbery/mugging. Who are the people issuing these gunmen with licenses to carry weapons in sweet St Lucia? I do not know the full circumstances under which this current shooting occurred but it involves a gun again.A senseless shooting. Why?

St Lucia needs to bring in a gun amnesty whereby all weapons unlicensed or licensed should be confiscated. The police should be the only ones carrying weapons and they should only use it in exceptional cases where their lives are at risk. Even then they should do their utmost not to kill the assailant. They can put him down without killing him. I'd rather see a life saved than to be killed. No killing is justified whether it be carried out by the state or by criminal elements. We need to safeguard lives whenever possible.

Most of these licensed gunmen behave like they are the police. They shoot with impunity and act like they are above the law. Well I have news for these cocky sapheads 'you are not above the law.' No man is above the law. Not the police nor the magistrates nor the judges. No one is above the law.Everyone is subject under the law and when people break the law then they will be brought to book. This needs to be impressed on everyone in the state of St Lucia.

If everyone took the law into their own hands then there will be mayhem and chaos. The state simply cannot afford to let this happen. We need to claim back the streets of St Lucia immediately before it's too late. Take away the guns. Stop issuing guns to show-offs. Bring in gun amnesty NOW... Save lives and increase the peace.

    • Cock San Pwel,

How come you can't understand it's not the LEGAL owners of guns who are doing the killings and shootings? It's the young, UN-licensed ones who are. If you remember, the Soufriere incident, a thief was breaking into the guns owners vehicle IN HIS YARD and he shot the person. The recent incident, some guy robbed a store owner and a LICENSED firearm holder shot at the assailant. So how are those two people wrong? AGAIN, IT'S THE UN-LICENSED PEOPLE WHO ARE SHOOTING AND KILLING FELLOW ST. LUCIANS FOR WHATEVER.

  11. I'm sick of these idiots running around like they're gangsters. These are low intelligence animals who cannot do anything productive. Women and men need to stop fornicating over too much rum. This is what pops out 9 month later when you don't put plastic on it.
