Marvin Gabriel, who was accused of shooting Simon in that incident, surrendered to the Criminal Investigation Department with his attorney in early September 2013 days after police issued a ‘wanted’ press release and photo of Gabriel. He was wanted for attempted murder.
Gabriel was eventually released later in 2013 but re-arrested, along with other men, in January 2014 for other shootings.
Gabriel along with Adrian Sonny, aka Zebbi and Marlon Joseph, aka Tis, were all charged for the attempted murder of Kervin Anatole who was shot in the head on January 19, 2014.
Anatole was shot when a gang of about eight masked gunmen invaded a section of Morne Du Don/Bois Patat.
In addition to this, Gabriel also faced an attempted murder charge for the alleged shooting of Yannick Mathurin of Arundel Hill at New Village, Castries on January 13, 2014. Mathurin was shot in the head.
