Serious accident on John Compton Highway


Several persons were injured in a vehicular accident on the John Compton Highway, near Northwest Ltd.

Reports are that a minibus plying the Castries to Grand Riviere route collided with a taxi car around 11 a.m.

Three ambulances and one fire truck responded to the scene of the accident.

  1. I believe its also our right to let a bus driver know if they driving to fast becuz dat what I do when ever I on a bus.

  2. Here we go again,seems like if it is not an accidents its killing,stabbing,shooting,hanging.Kenny should remove the VAT and start changing for accidents and crimes instead.

    • Because they operate a system that requires them to speed in order to get to the front of the queue to pick up their next load of passengers as quickly as possible. If they were organised on a rotational basis the bad drivers would not be rewarded as they are now with more business.

      Any minibus driver involved in an accident, his/her fault or not, should have the license suspended until Police investigations completely exonerate them from blame.

      • so what if the bus driver is at a red light and some fool just decided to drive into the minibus...would u still suspend his license??? don't be foolish to this extent...its innocent till proven guilty...what if police investigations take over a year as is the case here...are u saying the driver should not even drive in his personal car or something...

  3. wonder what would have happened if all the fire officers were on seek out today. OMG

    Mr. Prime Minister and Mr. La Cobiniere Please do something quick with these recommendations.

    It could have been any one of us or our family member.

    I know we not in a position to tell you how to do your job, but lets us all in this country suggest that everything possible is done at the soonest with the recommendation given by the commission of enquiery
