BREAKING NEWS: Second body found in Fond St. Jacques identified

The Royal St. Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has identified the second body that was found on Thursday in the forest at Fond St. Jacques, Soufriere.

The body was positively identified as Mc Donald St. Rose of Cantonment, Vieux Fort.

Reports are that St. Rose was last seen on October 3. Relatives said that St. Rose had left to attend to his farm in Saltibus.

His body bore a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. It is believed that St. Rose was shot and left in the farmlands for a number of days. The body had already started to decompose.

St. Rose’s body was found shortly after the discovery of a missing farmer, Victor Jn Phillip, whose body had a gunshot wound to the head.

The discovery of these two bodies in Fond St Jacque has caused the entire community to become fearful. Members of the community have suggested that the homicides were drug related.

Police Commissioner Vernon Francois has also hinted that this may be true, especially since the area is known to have had marijuana farms that were destroyed by police.

Investigations are continuing.

  1. I think it's very sad, so many individuals are dying uselessly on the small island of St.Lucia . We really need to pray for all the violence, crimes taking place on this once innocent place. I know times are changing and people are wiser now; but let's practice good and not evil .

  3. Sorry to say but it does not matter if he had a plantation or not or where he was from. No one should have killed him. No one has the right to take ones life. While we blame St Lucians, dont forget men ran to and thro and the killer can be from everwhre. Is the St Lucian police thats worthless and ill trained. Thats our bigges problem. They cant solved the smallest crime either.

    • Grab a map youngster; Saltibus and Fond St Jacques are very close on the map. Plus if he was kidnapped they could have taken him wherever they wanted to kill him
