POLICE PRESS RELEASE – About 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department received a report of a shooting at Water Wo0rks road, Castries.
On arrival at the scene, the officers received information that an off-duty police officer had discharged two rounds of ammunition in the direction of two young males. At the time, the males were robbing a 19-year-old student of the Sir Athur Lewis Community College.
As a result, one of the males sustained a gunshot wound to the torso and was transported to Victoria Hospital where he was treated and admitted. The other suspected robber managed to get away on foot.
The student was on his way to a training session when he was attacked.
