Man attacked by machete-wielding men in Castries
JUST IN: Two men, one armed with a machete, were apprehended by an armed off-duty police officer after they attacked a man on Victoria Street , Castries at about 6:45 p.m on Tuesday, Nov. 13.An eyewitness told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that the victim was chased and slapped with the machete all over his body, but managed to escape further harm.

An off-duty officer, who appeared just in time to witness the attack, pulled his firearm and cautioned the men, who complained that the victim was always troubling them.

The police officer retrieved the machete, and with gun in hand, escorted the men to the police station.

The eyewitness said it was difficult to see any visible injuries on the victim because it was dark and he was running.

Another eyewitness however said the victim had a laceration on the back of his neck.

    SNO, did the comment box change? I commented on a site totally unrelated to SNO and when I came here it is the same thing with the same username for that other site. I found that weird.
