He suffered from a stroke during October last year and was hospitalised for almost three months.
Norville was hospitalised several times before that during last year.
Apart from being a cultural activist, Norville was also a photographer, actor and dancer.
However, he is most known for his work as a singer, musician and composer; especially as it relates to folk music.

We have lost another true son. May his passing remind us of our own mortality and cause us to make things right with God and our fellow men. There is no forgiveness beyond the grave. Condolences to his family and friends and also st. Lucia as a whole.

RIP FRANK.I KNOW YOU ARE NO LONGER SUFFERING NOW THAT YOU ARE IN THE HANDS OF THE MAKER AWAITING THE FINAL JUDGEMENT.CONDOLENCES GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY AND LOVE ONES.
Its amazing. Some of us Lucians are so hypocrite. When he was sick and at home no one from the CDF, paid a visit to him. This is the time he needed the accolades. He does not need it now. We need to STOP recognizing our people when they are DEAD. No one tried to assist him when he truly needed it.
He is with god now. Condolences to his family!
May you rest in eternal peace Mr Norville. I can remember Frank Norville as a young person growing up in St. Lucia and what a wonderful voice he had. People like that are irreplaceable. I wish we had more Mr Norvilles and Sessanes left in St.Lucia. What an Icon he was!
