Police have charged a Cas En Bas, Gros Islet man in connection with the Sept. 2, 2012 homicide of Miguel Augustin aka Reds of Morne Du Don.

McArthur Lubrin, aka Fluff, 28, was charged on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 after he was positively identified at an identification parade.

He was remanded in custody following a court appearance today, Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Augustin, 24, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds at about 12 am on Monday, September 3, 2012 on Coral Street, Castries. He was transported to Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A post mortem examination conducted on Augustin’s body on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 revealed that he died of hemorrhagic shock secondary to gunshot wounds.

Initial reports were that his murder may have been linked to the fatal shooting of Lester Francis, aka Bobby, of Reduit, Gros Islet, who was reportedly shot while sitting in a parked car in Boise D Orange, a week before Augustin’s murder.

Another person was also injured during the Boise D Orange attack that occurred during a karaoke.

    • "Den dey ask for more time and sayin he know who do it and he not talkin because of dat they charge de yute with murder after eight days in custody" -- Guilty be association perhaps? Or maybe accessory after the fact?

  10. This case is almost dead as it has begun...Why did it take so long for'Fluff' to be pointed out?...Again leading to the facts of Fluff's whereabouts @ the time of the crime,if 'Fluffs' had a good allaby on the day & time of such an incident with No actual witnesses & No weapon found @ Fluff's residence, then this is a no brainer.

  13. Shut the hell up "real nigga". It's high time people start taking their streets and communities back from criminals and their co-conspirators such as yourself. Informer? I think not. It serves no one but the criminal when we hide crime. Every evil done in darkness must be brought to light. reform your criminal ways and there is no need to fear the law. If you are such a "real nigga" or a "G", do your crime and boldly proclaim it. Stop hiding and lurking in the dark like some duppy, or some kinda vampire, or worse yet some fassy. Own up to your Badman talk. Doh hide. Real badman can take de consequence of his actions, it's little boys who hide after they've done their wrong. Good job citizens, good job police. Now let's allow the judiciary to determine guilt or innocence and deal with it accordingly.

  14. Were there any witnesses of 'Fluff' committing the murder OR was it just 'hear-say'.Was a weapon found to match the shell casings at the scene?...If not then 'Fluff' will be released because 'hear-say' is not permitted in court.

    • You need to get an education and get it quickly. Doing your civic duty, reporting crime when it occurs, who did it, etc, etc, is not being an informa. If someone harmed someone close to you, I'm sure you would want someone to come forward to say who did it.
