An elderly man is dead following a house fire in La Ressource, Vieux Fort tonight.

Authorities have not officially identified the dead man as yet, however, an elderly man, known as Milo,  lives in the house.

Neighbours have told St. Lucia News Online that Milo is known to drink, and if he is the one who perished, then it would be no surprise.

The fire has since been contained.

  1. Funny in life sometimes what you are known for is not what kills you. Milo stopped drinking for quite sometime now because of an incident where someone in the neighbourhood had his pitbull to attack him whereby he sustained a bit from that attack and was on medication, therefore his doctor ask him to stop drinking which he did. So please I have fond memories of him, let him rest in peace. I saw Milo two hours prior to his death and he was in no way drunk.

  2. It is sad that you all can report about the man being a drunkard, was there any proof he was drunk? why not think he may have been sick also and that may have been a contributing factor. May his soul rest in peace. The PipPom man, the harmonica man MILO.
