UPDATE: Earthquake rocks St. Lucia

At about 7:34 p.m. residents throughout St. Lucia reported feeling at least two tremors that lasted several seconds.

St. Lucia News Online has received reports of the tremor in Gros Islet including Corinth, Monier, Grand Riviere, Bonne Terre, as well as Pavee, Ti Rocher, Castries, Babonneau, and as far as Soufriere, Bexon, Canaries, Laborie, Choiseul, Mon Repos, Dennery, Micoud, Blanchard and Vieux Fort.

“I felt the tremor then it subsided and then felt it stronger,” said one reader.

Persons in neighbouring islands, Martinique and St. Vincent, have also reported feeling the tremor.

No reports of damage thus far.
