    • You are so right. They're always saying "my son was a good boy, he wasn't doing nothing, he just sitting on the block", etc, etc. Well apparently, he WAS doing something and that's why the Police came looking for him. And guess what, when they come looking for him, he runs away. I guess that's the sign of a good boy, someone who is never in trouble, etc, etc. If i'm not in trouble with the law, and they came looking for me, i have NO reason to run from them.

  2. a POLICE OFFICER SHOULD ONLY DISCHARGE HIS WEAPON IF HIS LIFE IS IN DANGER, THE GUY WAS RUNNING AWAY FROM HIM, SO WHY DID HE HAVE TO FIRE HIS GUN IN AN AREA WHERE THERE WERE LOTS OF CIVILIANS. THE POLICE ARE MEANT TO PROTECT AND SERVE, WHILST SOME OF THEM DO A GREAT JOB, TOO MANY OF THEM ARE JUST TRIGGER HAPPY AND CORRUPT

  3. A POLICE OFFICER SHOULD ONLY DISCHARGE HIS WEAPON IF HIS LIFE IS IN DANGER, IF THE GUY WAS RUNNING AWAY FROM HIM AND THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT HE WAS ARMED, WHY DID THE OFFICER HAVE TO FIRE HIS WEAPON. ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE WERE INNOCENT PEOPLE NEAR BY. THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO PROTECT AND SERVE, BUT MOST POLICE OFFICER ARE JUST TRIGGER HAPPY...

    • What are you'll talking about St.Lucia & police for? St.Lucia has security guards, not Police...Police are meant to serve & protect. The security guards in St.lucia are to abuse & neglect.LOL.You'll really need to stop saying St.lucia has Police & lAW BECAUSE IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK BAD.

  5. That's the thing with lucians, until it affects you or your family the masses will continue to talk crap, you mean to tell me a police officer who has a gun cannot differentiate between an adult and a six year old. People who have legal firearms and people who have served with different armies worldwide, when do you discharge a firearm? i hope someone answers. This bullshit that if someone runs from the police they have right to shoot and even use deadly force has stop them has to stop. Honestly as St. Lucian i have given up on the system don't even ask about politicians. I follow a very simple law i.e Solomon's law. all respect for police well that's done............. They are just egos with guns.... in all other bloody countries people who meant to uphold the law are usually charged worst when they break law but not in St.Lucia smfh

    • There's Law in St.Lucia?,That's the first I ever heard of that, get use to it,St.Lucia has NO law.Every drug baron is well known & still roams the streets driving audis along side our fellow politicians.even bad boy murderers are well known & idolized by many on the youth. When you mentioned St.Lucian & Law in the first sentence I was shocked because St.Lucia has No law as far as I'm Concerned. When I see the Law I'll believe it,but until then enjoy the 'BETTER DAYS' our Government has provided for us 🙂

    • Are you that stupid to think an Officer can't differentiate btwn an adult & a kid? Stupid statements like that make you seem backwards. What stone were you born under? Sometime in either 2011 or 2012, NYC cops shot at a suspect who had a gun. Yes they shot him, but they also shot some other ppl who were in the area. So regardless that NYC cops have more training that St. Lucian Police, they still shoot innocent ppl.

  8. Sometimes we are too quick to judge the police. Let them do their work. Its just unfortunate that a child got hurt but sometimes we are just too quick to criticise the police!!!

    • Tell me about it. Anything goes wrong with a Police officer, I've noticed they are always blamed. What happened to a 6yr shouldn't be at a fete at 1130pm, what happen that the assailant put othersin danger by being around these ppl. Tired of reading anti-Police statements on here.

  9. my first and only question: at the age of 6 years why was that child at a social gathering at 11:30 PM and not in his bed? its very unfortunate but that is bad parenting right there
