BREAKING NEWS: Calvin succumbs to injuries

St Lucia News Online has confirmed that Calvin Joseph, the 18-year-old pillion bike rider, who was involved in Saturday’s accident in Marisule, Gros Islet, has died.

The Pavee Road, Castries resident succumbed to his injuries at about 6:00 this morning, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 after days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The bike rider, Kyle Joseph of Pavee Road, Castries is still hospitalised in stable condition.

St. Lucia News Online understands that the driver of the car involved in the accident did not stay at the scene of the accident because he was allegedly threatened.  It is further understood that he has since reported to the police station and is now assisting the law men with their investigations.

We are very sorry to hear about this and express our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.

  1. So it was said that it was not a "hit and run" the bike slamed into the left side of da car while d car was enterin its home entrance

    • The driver of the bike is to blame. I'll wager $1,000,000 the driver of the bike was speeding.

  2. A wasted life so you and have achieved so little. A man you dies and has no seed (child) has had a wasteful life. As for the driver I wonder if he has a valid license or insurance. Just causing heart ache to parents

  4. @Lucian Girl..he's not missing the word Sad, he's actually missing the word "Sorry"..So the sentence should have been : "We are very to hear about this and express our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased"..Sad wouldn't make any sense there, would it?
