The body of a senior citizen was fished from a river along on the Vieux Fort-Laborie Highway this morning.
The man has been identified as Michael Henry, believed to be in his 60s or 70s.
Reliable sources say Henry was discovered missing from his home at about 2:00 this morning and a search by relatives ensued.
His lifeless body was discovered near a bridge at about 11 a.m., about 200-300 feet from his home. The location of the discovery is close to True Value.
Police sources say no signs of violence were seen on the body. His death is currently being labeled a suspected drowning until a post mortem is done to determine the cause of death.
Sources close to the family say Henry lost his wife about three weeks and may have fell into depression. It is believed that Henry, who is also ailing, may have wandered off late in the night and fell in the river.
