UPDATE: Bajan national shot in Reduit in stable condition – police

A Barbadian national who was shot and injured in Reduit, Gros Islet last night, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 is currently in stable condition at Victoria Hospital, according to police.

Oswald Pitt, 30, who resides at Carielle, Castries was shot at about 10 p.m. near the playing field at Reduit.

St. Lucia News Online understands that Pitt was shot in the chest and arm.

Police said no one has been arrested in relation to this incident and the matter is currently under investigation.

  1. I agree with truth very much so,its like castries is the only place with "criminal" again if it was said that it was done by some1 in the grave yard all hell break loose. And we know and the police know who the real perpetrators are. I can vouch the boys of the grave yard have had their fair share and I know they learnt from it.

  5. so when they come with their crocodile tears on tv asking public assistance its just bullshit i once a man with automatic weapon in his hand walk pass a squad in their coumflage and all 4 in the vehicle all turn their heads and said not a dwmn thing, this country need the almighty just to end it all because the end result of whats aint gona be pretty. both major political parties, police dont ask for our court system just pure utter bullshit...

  6. The police should have done a search down opperation in this raduit area not now! How many more people need to be killed or shot in this area before they deem it as a hot spot where alot of criminal activity takes place! I know for a fact that alot of so called bad boys live and lime in this area and many persons know that also! So why do the police turn a blind eye and pretend that they don't know what is going on? I guess anything for a cut! Smfh!!

    • I moved into Reduit two years ago because it was quiet. No gangs around then that I knew of. Now many have moved up from Castries and taking over the turf up here. I too have seen the police ignore certain things going on. I pray to the Most High Jah for protection every day. Bless...
