A friend of the injured man spoke to St. Lucia News Online about the incident.

“We was just cooling out at the car wash in Sugar City (near the tire shop in Bois D’ Orange) and he decided to go S&S to get something because it is a walk away. So about five minutes so we were heading out and saw a traffic jam. And when we reach on the scene it was him, so I drove to the hospital to see him,” the friend said.

Asked about the man’s condition, his friend said: “Well he told us he is ok but they not letting us in so am guessing it’s stable for now.”
