(RNV) – The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, stressed that the national executive has made great efforts to consolidate peace in Venezuela.
“I want this year to have Presidential elections in Venezuela and to involve all the political forces in the country that we measure at the polls. Because as you know, after our victories they have run away and do not want to participate”, he said.
He noted that the Electoral Power requested all political parties to register and renew.
“I have information from a very good source that the opposition wants to withdraw from the presidential elections and play ahead, well they have another opportunity this 2018”, he said.
Regarding the process of dialogue that takes place in the Dominican Republic, he indicated that on the seven objectives put on the table, the parties had reached an agreement.
“Then they received a call and they changed the signal, but in Venezuela there will be elections with them or without them,” he said.
