Police are seeking the public’s help to identify the body of man who was found in a Castries park in early February this year.
Police Press Officer Aniel innocent said “no one has identified the man, now being referred to us “John Doe” and “because of that, a post mortem have not been conducted on his body. The Royal St. Lucia Police Force is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying him as AFIS did not match his prints to anyone’s in the database”.
According to a police press release, on Friday, February 8, 2013 at about 6:45 pm, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department where summoned to George the Fifth Park, also known as “The Gardens”, located near the Gros Islet bus stop.
On arrival, they discovered the body of a male lying on the ground, wearing a pair of red trousers and black slippers. There were no visible marks of violence on the body. He was transported to Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police are yet to identify the said individual and are soliciting the assistance of the public in doing so.
