PRESS RELEASE – To commemorate Creole Heritage Month the Black Bay Community Group has slated a Black Bay Jounen Kweyol Breakfast and Lunch for 25th October, 2015.
This event will commence at 7:00 am near the bus stand located at the entrance to the community just off the Vieux-Fort to Laborie Highway.
Thus, it is with delight the Black Bay Community Group invites all St. Lucians to patronize this activity. Some of the dishes that will be on sale include: dumpling and cocoa tea, fish cake, local bread and salt fish, breadfruit and smoke herring, green figs and salt fish, pig tail bouillon, stew pork, stew turtle, souse and black fish meals. Coconut cakes, turnovers, jams, tablets and many other snacks will be on sale. A well stocked bar also awaits.
The purpose of this activity is to develop a greater appreciation of the Creole Culture in St. Lucians. Further, this event is being held to raise funds for community development projects and activities.
