Bishop Cornelius Robinson of the Streams of Power Ministries has died.
He passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 after a period of illness. Pastor Robinson, as he was affectionately known, was widely respected locally, regionally and internationally as a name synonymous with preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Originally from St. Vincent, his ministry spanned more than 50 years. He arrived in St. Lucia in 1958 and soon after founded the Native Full Gospel Streams of Power Ministries.
He was well known for his radio programme “Reaching Out” which has its theme song “Across the bridge, there is no more sorrow”.
Pastor Robinson was the second chairman of the Fellowship of Gospel Preaching Churches and served the fellowship for several years. He also served as a member of the Integrity Commission.
In 2007 he was awarded the Les Pitons Medal (Gold) by Governor General Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy for his service to the community.
Pastor Robinson is survived by his wife Carmen and six children – Jacqueline, Joy, Dawn, Earl, Othneil and Timothy.
