St. Lucia’s beauty queen Consuelo Dupal will participate in the Miss International Carnival Queen Show which will be held in Curacao on Thursday, January 31, 2013.
Thirty countries from around the globe are expected to participate in this prestigious event.
The International Carnival Queen Show promotes each participating country’s unique form of carnival celebrations and carnival history, aiming to raise the awareness of regional and international carnival cultures and by extension bridges the gap between all countries and delegates.
The International Carnival Queen Show is a contest where participants from different countries ranging from Central America, Caribbean, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia come to share the way they celebrate carnival and other cultural huge celebrations in their country.
St. Lucia will participate for the very first time in this prestigious event. The 21-year-old who recently captured the title of Miss Caribbean Tourism Queen on the island of St. Kitts will represent St. Lucia.
Dupal is a local model; she heads the team of Sofyerie ladies and is quite familiar with the stage and pageants, and thoroughly enjoys the experience of pageantry.
Thus far Dupal has participated in five pageants, placing in all five and capturing the Crown and title in two regional pageants, including some segments-awards.
She will leave the island for Curacao on January 24, 2013, accompanied by a small entourage.
