In it’s premiere installment, BAYFEST exhibited local entrepreneurs in arts, craft, culinary, performing arts and highlighted the annual ‘Fashion Fusion’ runway show. The event featured over 80 locally trained models, 10 choreographed dancers and 25 retailers from Baywalk Mall and JQ Rodney Bay Mall who provided an impressive collection of presentations coordinated by renowned Fashion Director, Richard Young.
With an overwhelming response for the next installment of BAYFEST, themed ‘Culinary Explosion’, the producers of the event have decided to re-schedule from Saturday 23rd January 2016 to Saturday February 20th, coinciding with the celebration of St Lucia’s 37th year of Independence.
Sponsors and partners are pledging their support and resources as well as businesses and entrepreneurs expressing their desire to play a larger role in the next extravaganza, this event will be even bigger, broader reaching and will present St. Lucian talent to a global market.
This date change is a unique opportunity to merge events into a celebrated moment of food, entertainment, crafts and all things St Lucian. The Helen of the West has been dancing to her own beat since 1979 and we will continue the festivities with an announcement of the sizzling talent line up in the days and weeks ahead.
