About twenty-five (25) clerks, salesmen and attendants employed with the company at its Roseau based operations will now benefit from the new industrial agreement.
A general wage increase spread over three (3) years will be paid out: 2% in Year 1 and 2% and 3% in Years 2 and 3 respectively. Fringe benefits were frozen.
The NWU has a very healthy relationship with Barbay Ltd and over the years workers have benefitted from structural wage adjustments undertaken by the Union and the company.
The industrial agreement was signed at the Department of Labour today.
