Barbay and NWU sign off on first industrial agreement

The management of  Barbay Ltd. and the National Workers Union (NWU) have signed their first industrial agreement.

Over 40 sales, clerical and warehouse attendants will benefit from the industrial agreement.

Workers will receive a nine percent general wage increase evenly spread over a three-year period along with the maintenance of all customary benefits.

Overtime, uniforms, annual vacation, redundancy pay, acting allowance, compensation for additional responsibilities, breakfast, lunch and dinner allowances will form a new regime of fringe incentives.

The industrial agreement was signed at the Department of Labour.
