Bajan table tennis players dominate on Saint Lucia visit

(SNO) — The Saint Lucia National Premier Table Tennis continued this weekend at the Castries Table Tennis Centre with three matches.

The Bajan Scouters beat the Challengers 5-0 and the Eagles 4-1 with only DeAndre Calderon winning his match against Roshon Goddard, 3-1.

In the other match, the Jaguars were no match for the Tigers who won 4-1 with Saneil Bernard winning the lone match for Jaguars.

In the Independence Day Open Classic, Barbados player Mark Dowell beat Adrian Albert in the final, 4-0. On his way to the final, Dowell beat Faith Stanislaus, 3-1, Celestin Samuel, 3-0, and Akeil DeRoche of Saint Vincent, 3-0.

In the quarter finals, Dowell beat Deandre Calderon, 3-0, and Chris Wells, 3-1, in the semi-finals. Albert beat Tre Riley of Barbados, 3-0, Damian Dublin of St. Vincent, 3-1, and Franklyn Noel, 3-0.

In the quarter finals, Albert beat Celestin Samuel, 3-0 and in the semi-finals beat Roshon Goddard of Barbados, 3-1.

The preliminary rounds of the PL end this weekend and the semifinals and finals will be announced at a later date.
