Babonneau cricketer make courtesy call on Minister for Health and MP for Babonneau


PRESS RELEASE –
On Monday August 1st, female National Cricketer, Gemma Bridget made a courtesy call on Minister for Health and Member of Parliament for Babonneau, Hon. Alvina Reynolds to express her appreciation for the support Reynolds has provided her thus far during her young cricketing career.

Gemma Bridget and Malika Edward are two cricketers from Babonneau who have qualified for the St. Lucia National Cricket Team that will travel to Dominica for tryouts for the West Indies Female Cricket Team. Bridget said it has always been a dream of her’s to someday make it on the Windward Island’s Female Cricket Team and will give off her best in Dominica to make this dream a reality.

Hon. Alvina Reynolds for her part praised the young cricketer for her determination and hard work thus far whilst encouraging her to strive for excellence and put St. Lucia and Babonneau on the Map like Lavern Spenser has, winning the only St. Lucian medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The St. Lucia Cricket Team will leave the island on Tuesday August 5th for Dominica.

    For some reason I have more faith in our women Cricketers than the guys.
    And i believe is that they seem to focus more and show slate.

  5. Nothing for health... but she do a little something there for cricket... Maybe they should combine her ministry with Shawn's Ministry to see what they can cook up for the youth. Close down health or close down sports... Save us some tax $$. AWA smhh!
