Artwork competition prize-giving ceremony takes place today

A prize-distribution ceremony for participants in an artwork competition will take place this afternoon Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Alliance Francaise De Sainte Lucia at Pointe Seraphine, Castries.

The Artwork Competition was sponsored by NH International Caribbean Limited which is currently undertaking the construction of the new Saint Lucia Financial Complex in Castries.

Five main prizes will be awarded. Students were to submit work depicting:

• Any type of artistic interpretation of nature in Saint Lucia;
• Typical scenes from Saint Lucia that give the ethos, special charm of the Saint Lucian experience; and
• Any other scenes of what Saint Lucia is famous for.

The school winning the first prize will receive a desktop computer and trophy.

Monetary prizes will be received by the other prize winners.

The brief ceremony will be addressed by Sir Dunstan St. Omer as well as Mr. John Connon, N.H. International (Caribbean) Limited,
managing director, who will present the prizes.

NH International Caribbean Ltd. will display the selected artwork on the site hoarding where the construction is underway.
